Personal and Group Trainer Erica Hall and Graphic Designer Kristen Thomas became fast friends when they teamed up to answer the need for a fitness group where kids were welcome to stay with mom. They launched EveryMom Fitness in March 2018 at The Fieldhouse in Chantilly, VA, providing a safe place for moms and kids to stay active while also encouraging support and socialization.
When the pandemic hit in March of 2020, they added EveryMom @home, an online database of workouts, updated with live videos three days a week. The community feel they found on the field has continued online through comments and sweaty pictures, and even expanded beyond state lines.
Kristen lives with her husband, two kids and miniature poodle in Aldie, VA and is happy to get in a workout when she's not in front of the computer.

I have been an ACE certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2008 specializing in pre-and post partum and injury recovery. My husband and I live in Aldie VA and have 4 daughters ranging in ages from 4 ½ to almost 13. I have been certified as a personal trainer since my oldest was a newborn (so coming up on 13 years!)
My fitness journey started long before I got my training certification. I loved playing sports all through my childhood and high school. Soccer, basketball and softball were my favorites. In college, I discovered a love of running as a way to clear my head and refocus during long afternoons of studying. I have since completed 4 full marathons as well as dozens of ½ marathons and 10K’s.
After the birth of my first daughter, I started taking a bootcamp class geared towards moms. This is when I discovered my true passion – finding support and encouragement from other moms with the joys and struggles of parenting – all while getting a great, kick-butt workout. I began teaching these classes by the time my daughter was 6 months old. I also taught at local gyms and studios as well as training at a private personal training studio geared to injury recovery. My goal was to learn as much as possible so that I could safely train people with all types of injuries/medical history. I have focused primarily on women of all ages and pre -and post-partum fitness.
We moved to Tampa, FL in 2012 with 2 daughters in tow and a third on the way. I launched my own business there in Tampa teaching bootcamp classes in the neighborhood and providing personal training sessions to dozens of women and men. I saw amazing results, and what inspires me the most is watching each person’s self confidence grow in their ability to accomplish hard things.
In late 2015 we moved back to Virginia with 3 daughters and our 4th on the way. I went right back to teaching and training locally. The opportunity to start EveryMom Fitness came up in early 2018. Kristen and I started with a vision and a lot of faith that it would grow. We have been beyond blessed with the amazing community of women who show up to join us – in person and now online. Our whole goal is to support and build each other up….all while getting a great, tough workout together. Every Mom CAN and DOES do hard things each and every day. Our bodies are strong and capable and when we are confident in our abilities and our bodies, we are setting the example for our kids that not only is exercise good for both your physical and mental health, but it can also be FUN!! Be the Example. Growing up, I was unfit and hated exercise, always dreading the physical fitness tests at school. I discovered the world of fitness in my mid-20s when I completed an intense home exercise program. Being strong and fit made me feel empowered and energized but I knew I needed to be around people if I was going to stay committed to my fitnes
Growing up, I was unfit and hated exercise, always dreading the physical fitness tests at school. I discovered the world of fitness in my mid-20s when I completed an intense home exercise program. Being strong and fit made me feel empowered and energized but I knew I needed to be around people if I was going to stay committed to my fitness journey! I soon found the world of group exercise and decided to start teaching in 2011.
My main profession is in music, so I have enjoyed teaching musical/choreographed formats such as Les Mills Body Pump, Pound (drumstick fitness), and Zumba Strong, eventually choreographing my own strength and HIIT workouts. But to me, while I love moving to the beat, nothing beats an awesome interval workout! A friend invited me to EveryMom Fitness in 2021 and I was immediately hooked. The combination of a great workout and a supportive community was just what I needed.
I am super excited to officially be a part of the EveryMom team. I love to bring variety and fun to every workout and try to provide a challenging but encouraging environment. Having gone through the body changes from four pregnancies/births, and having been both super unfit and super fit in my lifetime, I understand that everyone’s on a different path and I look forward to helping you reach your goals no matter where you are in your journey!
